The Holiday Is Over...

... but their best-of's remain! And I just can't get enough of them! :)

Ink cartridges in "Faded Rose" and "Coffee". Does it get any cooler? :)

My beloved L'Occitane in Rose&Violette...  ...and a new unexpected love: Filofax Piccadilly!!!

Have you ever met Piccadilly in person? It seduced me straight away and I spent days setting it up, even felt like making new colourful dividers to match its amazing vibrations! I'll make a post about it shortly, along with those of other filo's setups - I've been very busy! ;)

  1. Hi, I'm waiting for my Lamy in the post and got J. Herbin ink in Bleu Nuit to use with it. I think I'll also get some Cacao Du Bresil later. How are you finding the ink cartridges? I got Diablo Menthe which at first try was too light, but it's a beautiful color.

    1. Hi Doris, I'm sorry about the delay!
Any news on your Lamy+Herbin ink? I don't know whether it was just me, but the cartridges didn't fit my Lamy (ok, I didn't really force them, either...) so I used other pens for them. But nothing beats Lamy indeed... How are you loving yours?

  2. Hi again. The Lamy's can't take the 'universal' cartridges, I read somewhere, so you can't use the J Herbin ones.

I love my Lamy! I got it with an extra fine nib, and it suits my tiny handwriting well. (And I used to think the Lamy's were ugly and crude - I take it all back.) The Bleu Nuit seems lighter than I expected though, i wonder if the Lamy has some residue.

Is Cafe des Isles a true chocolate brown? I'm debating on the J Herbin browns and just can't make up my mind which one to get. (:

    Thanks for the reply!

  3. Hey Doris, great to hear from you!

I'm glad you like your Lamy - I was the same: I was bewildered by everyone's fascination with these pens and tried one just out of curiosity; I wasn't that delighted at first (I even wasn't a fountain-pen-person, but with use the pen gets only better and better and now I'd say nothing beats it (while the pen has become my trademark thing at work)!!

Cafe des Isles is a milk chocolate brown (or coffee with a dab of milk, if you like), so I'd say it's a small hue lighter than the original chocolate, but really close to it, I think... I only wish I'd used a better other pen for it, this one scratches so much! :O
